Hi everyone,

We reviewed prepositions again and some of the sentences from your homework last week.  

Remember this capitalization rule:   Ann Forman, governor   (or)  Governor Ann Forman

Capitalize a title if it immediately precedes the name, but doesn’t have a comma separating it.

We also began writing a paragraph with descriptive words.  We took a simple sentence, “She/He is nice” and began developing descriptive words to explain why someone is nice.  Check out the writing sample I sent home, “My baby sister is the picture of health.”

We started your homework - do the best you can since we didn’t get to cover everything deeply.

• Finish writing your descriptive paragraph, “She/He is nice.”
• Read the handout, Commas (Eight Basic Uses)
• Complete pp. pp. 585, 587, 597 of Easy Grammar; Turn in Thursday, Feb. 4th
• Complete pp. 10, 12, 18 of Capitalization & Punctuation - Turn in Thursday, Feb. 4th
• We will complete pp. 601-605 of Easy Grammar  on Thursday, February 4th in class.  Don’t complete them at home.
