7th and 8th graders: Write a three to five paragraph speech about a subject or social cause/platform that is important to you. Introduce the cause and its problems. Remember, it can be of world, national or community concern. Talk about what can be done to correct these problems. Organize your thoughts logically and use clear language. Give reasons for your ideas and examples that support them. Practice reading your speech out loud to your family and be prepared to give your speech in class. If you have difficulty with this assignment, you may ask your parents for assistance, or email me at 5hoods1416@bellsouth.net.
